“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength while loving someone deeply gives you courage” (Lao Tzu). This quote from Tzu relates to Michael Lewis depiction in his book “The Blind Side”. The Blind Side is about an incredible true story of a football player Michael Oher’s journey from very poor and homelessness to stardom in National Football League. Michael Oher was placed with many foster care families, due to his mother’s drug addiction. He ran away, every time he is placed with a new foster care family. He did not know his real name, his father, his birthday, or how to read or write. A Christian family who takes him in their own care and gives him home and also adopts him. The family’s love, kindness, generosity and affection give Michael Oher the courage to succeed and have a life of his own.
