Leading to the collapse of both the Roman Empire and the Han Dynasty was a period of peace and prosperity resulting from the Pax Romana. Both the Roman Empire and the Han Dynasty has connecting routes for the Silk Road. As time went on, there were many factors that caused the fall for both empires and two of those were they both lacked the fundamental technological breakthroughs needed to help the civilizations and in both civilizations, the lower class was mistreated by the elites.
2. Both bureaucracies did not have the fundamental technological resources. This contributed to the collapse of both, as they couldn’t enlarge the resources that were needed for all of the people. Both civilizations would fund the military more and would not help the lower class, such as farmers. There was a lack of workers and quality labor. The lack of quality technology made prices for iron more higher, which lead them to have a shortage of strong farming tools
