There are many ways to prevent catching a vector borne disease but diseases like malaria are quite easy to prevent. The first prevention is being aware of the risk of catching malaria, so been prepared when going on holiday to warm countries and learning of the risks there is. Also preventing from been bitten is a good way to prevent malaria so having insect repellent sprays/creams or even mosquito nets for when your sleeping. Check with your GP whether you need to take prevention medication and take this with the right dosage and make sure you finish the course before going on holiday. Finally, if you show any of the malaria symptoms, that you get medical attention straight away as it needs to be treat sooner rather than later.
