The Holocaust was the systematic and bureaucratic persecution of six million Jews by the Nazi regime and its allies which lasted from January 30, 1933 to May 8, 1945. Many jews were captured, tormented and often faced the same fate, death. However, some were fortunate enough to document events they had to endure through literature, or survive this time period and live to tell their story.
