When trying to build a team, there is a lot of planning that needs to go into designing an effective team. Leadership is crucial to building the perfect team, but building the perfect team is a difficult job as a leader. Team Dynamics are the behind the scene dynamics that operate in a team between teammates.
In order for team dynamics to begin, organizations must begin by setting clear and concise expectations for each of your team members, clear and concise expectations are the ultimate purpose for a team. This is the first step when assessing each team member’s abilities. When a team lacks focus, the direction of the company can easily develop poor employee dynamics due to the lack of understanding for each team members role within the company. One of the most important factors to building an effective team is figuring out your team’s strengths and weaknesses. You cannot expect a team to function fully simply based on the team you created. An effective team is built around working relationships. Through working relationships, a trust within each team members is created and through relationships confidence is built. Although, optimizing teamwork should not be limited to just an internal priority, but teamwork should be the visible manifestation of comparisons of shared vision and other unseen traits that teambuilding activities seek to develop.
Essentially a leader views a team as a self-managing unit. The range of skills provided by its members and the self-monitoring which each team performs makes it easy for leadership to delegate responsibilities. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV) reads, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor. If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity one who falls and has no one to help them up.”
